excursion

Come and take a look of the places I/we visited during our stay in Bali. I will tour you around the places and I will shortly describe the place and the activities we did. Enjoy!

Beji Temple

Beji Temple is located at the eastern part of Bali. They said that it is one of the famous temples in Bali. Our coodinators and other staff even prayed the time we visited here.

Menyali Village

We went straight to Menyali village to have our outdoor activities and to have our lunch. We also learned the Surya Namaskar, which is the modern yoga. We even meditated and learned about the seven sources of our chakras. The owner even let us name one of their trees (top-right photo).

Air Sanih  Spring

Air Sanih Spring, located in Singaraja. The entrance fee is Rp 10.000 and it is located in front of the beach. They say it is better to come here in the afternoon but I suggest that it is better to come here in the morning because it has less people and the water is still fresh.

Pantai Lovina

Lovina beach is just 20-30 minutes away from the hotel. Many tourists are here because this area has lots of hotels, activities, bars, and souvenir shops. When I visited this place, I noticed that only few people swim but the sunset is the real thing here.

Kantin Tepi Bukit

A friend of ours recommended this place. He said that this is another best place to view the sunset. We planned to have our dinner here, especially, there are two new  However, when we visited this place we weren't lucky to see the sunset. We didn't expect that we will have a hard time booking for Grab car. They say that many drivers don't accept it because it is far and the road is not that convenient. Even if we were not able to see the sunset, we were lucky enough to see the lights of Singaraja.

Warungs (small restaurants) are what can be found in this place. It better to have lunch or dinner here because the sound of the waves help one relaxes even while eating.

This place is colder because it is up the hill. This is famous for taking photo with the best view. No need to say more and just look at the photos how breathtaking the place is. However, it is quite rainy when we visited the place but still looked stunning. Also, the photo in the home page was taken in this location.

This place is one of the most popular places in Bali for its cultural places and many tourists spots are here. However, having many tourists here, things are quite expensive compared to the things in Singaraja. Also, near the Ubud village, we visited the Pura Tirta Empul (Holy Water Temple) which is known to be sacred because it is made by the God Indra and and it possesses curative properties. Which is why were so shocked when we saw a long line of people waiting to be washed. The first two photos were taken in the Royal Palace in Ubud village and the next photos were taken in Tirta Empul.

When I heard that we were going to rice terraces, I didn't feel the excitement because we have that in the Philippines but when I got there I was still amazed of how it was built. Many tourists are doing the swing thing but I decided not to because it is pricey.

Ulun Danu Temple

I made this the last one because this is my favorite. This is the place that really left me in awe. We actually visited this place twice. One time was in the evening and we tried to enter even if it is already closed but thankfully, our driver talked to one of the staff and he allowed us to enter for a short time. The second time was the next morning. It was cold and there are no people yet because we went there at the break of dawn. Here I found serenity. I can only hear the birds chirping and the soft sound of the lake.

There are still lots of places I would like to share but I prefer to save it for people to discover on their own and for me to remember the best. Actually, when it was my last day in Bali, I told myself to come back in the near future. Not only I need to learn from school, but I need to learn the culture and practice of Bali. This island has already imprinted in my heart. Not only because of the places but the people here are so simple and kind.
